The wind blasted from the northwest as we faced it in the first half. Valerie started in goal and had very little opportunity to touch a ball. Playing on the grass gave us a bit of trouble as we slipped and tripped after balls. Garber had an early cross with no one in the box. Jordin had an attempt just wide of the near post. Wolfe sent a good ball through to Jordin and she shot at the goalie and it got by her. We thought it was a goal but the ref (only had one) wasn't near the goal line to call it. Wolfe had a nice cross to Haley, but she shot just over the top. Taylor attempted and Sam followed but the goalie stopped it. Jordin sent a good ball up to Sam who shot right at the goalie. Grace sent a good ball up to Shannon who attempted at the goalie. Sarah crossed to Shannon and just missed the ball. Kathryn sent a great ball to Sarah who whiffed it and Shannon followed but goalie stopped. Dani had a drive up the field and shot just wide. Grace took a corner and Shannon shot right to the goalie. Chelsea drives up the field to set us up for a corner. Grace takes the corner and Shannon scores with 30 seconds left in the half.
In the 2nd half the flood gates open. Kathryn scores, Jordin scored off a cross. Morgan scored coming up from the back and the goalie deflected wide but it still went in. Molly took a shot from the 25 yd or so, the goalie deflected and Sam followed and scored! Sam scored again. Julia got credit for an own goal.
vs Coppell

It was a beautiful day for soccer. We started off strong in the first half with Celeste in goal. Coppell drove through right away with Ally stepping in to clear. Kayla made a great through ball to Allison but gets tackled by the defense. Celeste makes a bobbling save. Sam gets a breakaway but loses it. Coppell has a cross into the box but we clear it. Shannon pressures the goalie and Jordin follows but shots right at the goalie. Coppell has a shot and gets a corner. We clear it. Celeste makes another save. Wolfe takes a shot and misses. In the 2nd half, Coppell scores off a cross that is high and goes into the goal. Coppell gets a very questionable penalty kick off a a play involving Ally, even though it was not in the box and we had control of the ball. Coppell scores. Molly had an attempt that went over the goal. Coppell scores again off a quick break. Wolfe shoots, but just short. Sam crosses to Haley and she shoots just over the top. Jordin made a drive and lost the ball instead of passing it to Allison. Shannon had a header attempt but goalie came out to win the ball. Grace sends great balls up to Sam and Shannon. Valerie makes a good save. Kayla sends a ball to Sam who touches it badly and loses it. Lucy steps in to win a ball and send it up to Allison. Shannon outruns the defense sending a ball to Sam who is beaten to the ball by the goalie. Haley got called on a high kick.?.?
vs. Coppell

In the first half, we kicked off with the wind at our backs. Coppell came on aggressively as Celeste made a sliding save on her Birthday!! We bring the ball down field and Kayla megs the keeper setting up what should have been a corner, but the refs called for a goal kick. Haley and Kayla both made attempts right at the keeper. Ally and Kaley had some great clears in the back with Celeste making another great save. Haley takes a shot that goes wide right. Then Coppell tried to take on Celeste again but fouled her in the box. Lauren Cleaver and Sarah sent balls through to Jordin, but both were too direct. In the 2nd half we defended the wind with Valerie in goal. Coppell scored several times off crosses into the box. Sam and Jordin made several good runs with through balls from Wolfe, Allison and Kayla. Shannon draws a foul setting up a free kick taken by Haley that went wide. Sam owns a defender and slides to a ball, but ends up bruising her leg and needing to come out.
vs. Highland Park

The game began with the sun in our eyes, so we dropped a stopper back to help clear balls. Haley sent a ball through to Kayla but she lost control just outside the box. Sam knocked someone over and nicely turned to help her up. Ally made a nice tackle in the box and then Celeste made a great save. Lauren Carder drove forward with the ball and passed up to Sam whose shot went just wide. Highland Park got a free kick that Kaley stopped right outside the box. We got a throw in from Ally who faked it up the field then threw it backwards for a defense to bring out. Haley took a great shot that soared through the uprights. Grace headed a ball out of the box on a Highland Park corner kick. Molly sent a good ball up to Kayla but her attempt was stopped by the goalie. Sarah gave Cleaver a good ball in which she did a give and go with Kayla, but got tackled by Highland Park. They scored twice on us... somehow... In the 2nd half, Kathryn schooled 2 HP girls and drove up the field and Haley took a shot right at the goalie. Haley had another chance but it deflects off the post and she shot again but goalie stopped. Jordin and Kayla worked well up top with good combination passes and Haley's 40 yd attempt is unsuccessful. Dani makes a nice clear in the back. Garber played some great balls up to Kayla and Molly took a shot that barely missed. Highland Park scores again.
vs. Argyle Varsity

Marcus controlled the match for most of the game, but Argyle had speed up top that kept us on our toes. Our first goal was made off a corner kick sent to the far post by Kayla Maberry and kicked in by Allison Rupp. Our second goal was also assisted by Kayla when she crossed it to the outside and Haley Anderson hammered it home.

Allen came in strong wanting a different outcome from the last time we faced them and won 2-0. Grace Lemle had an attempt that went to the goalie. Allen scores off a ball that bounces off Celeste Castillo's gloves in goal.

Marcus was on offense most of this match. Haley Anderson attempted by the goalie stopped it. Grace Wolfendale hit a long ball that carried over the goal. Kellie Macdonald and Haley worked together on a corner but the goalie bats it out. Megan Mikesell takes a shot but the goalie got to it. Mackenzie Garber followed a rebound and scored on a left footed shot. Sam Vongphachanh takes a shot wide right. Haley has a sweet shot that we think might of been a goal but the refs did not signal. Haley gets another chance and finally scores from 25yds out. Kellie takes a shot wide. Allison Rupp crosses a ball that Kathryn Murphy just misses. Allison then sends a corner that kathryn gets at the back post and scores! Allison Rupp scores on a rebound from a defensive clear. Kathryn scores on a header. Molly Cathcart scores on a corner by Grace Lemle. Then Kayla Maberry scored.

In the first half, Kathryn Murphy tries to score off a corner. Shannon Lindley makes an attempt that the goalie pushes wide. Jordin Farris takes a shot but just misses the goal. In the 2nd half, Haley Anderson takes a shot, but the goalie stops it. Then we get a free kick that Haley scores on from the 18yd line. Molly Cathcart then scores off a corner kick. Grapevine gets a yellow card fouling Lauren Cleaver.

vs. Coppell 2

It was a cold day with a light wind. The game was pretty even for the first half. Celeste was in goal making a couple of good saves. Kayla Maberry put a good ball through to Allison Rupp who crossed it into the box, with no one at the far post to put it away. Grace Lemle and Kayla Maberry did a great job getting balls up to the Allison and Mackenzie Garber. Garber connected back to Grace Lemle sending a through ball to Wolfendale, who was called offsides. Allison pulled a foul setting up a free kick taken by Lemle, but it just missed over the top. Kathryn Murphy came into the game making several good passes down the line that we did not capitalize on. Jordin Farris did a good job pressuring their keeper, but she held on. Celeste was called on again to make some great saves. Haley Anderson passes a through ball to Jordin who almost scored.
In the second half, Valerie was in goal. We got called offsides several times... Wolfendale, frustrated with several questionable calls, gets a yellow card for throwing the ball away from our opponent. Coppell scores. Lauren Cleaver receives a threw ball from Shannon Lindley passing it to Jordin with a breakaway but the ball goes out. Shannon Lindley has a great defensive block in the box. Molly Cathcart switches the field getting the ball up to Jordin but it goes out of bounds. Megan Mikesell stops a Coppell breakaway, but Coppell regroups and scores. Lauren Cleaver crosses the ball to Jordin who almost scores. Dani Pugh makes some great runs to get the ball forward, but with not much support. Coppel gets a corner that is cleared and sent back in for a score. Sarah Uszler works hard getting us a corner that is cleared by Coppell.

We went in focused on taking more shots. Mackenzie Garber attempted early in the half but it was no good. Molly Cathcart attempted from 20 yds. out. Then Haley Anderson scores on a nice left footed shot from 20 yds. out that curved into the far post. Sarah Uszler crosses to Molly who shoots just wide. Ally Vanloenen saves a ball from going in. Taylor Aigner attempts off the pole. Sarah Uszler scores off a rebound from a corner. Grace Wolfendale scores. Taylor AIgner scored off a corner attempt by Jordin Farris. Lauren Cleaver shot but goalie saved. Jordin Farris scored off a corner rebound. Lauren Cleaver takes a shot just wide. Allison Rupp sent in a great corner shot but no one was at the far post to support. Shannon Lindley took a shot nailing the goalie in the stomach, causing a pause in the game. Kayla Maberry attempted right at the goalie. Julia O'Hearn just missed a good pass from Kellie McDaniel. Lauren Carder scores off a corner with her stomach.

This match started off with a score by Jordin Farris in the first 15 seconds! Valerie was then called on to make a save on a breakaway and then on a rebound from a corner. Shannon Lindley had a one on one with the goalie that was saved. Grace Lemle sent a great cross into the box with no one there for support. Kayla Maberry was pressuring their defense and Taylor Aigner attempted but the goalie stopped it. In the second half, Haley Anderson shot just wide and Grace Lemle had a attempt stopped by the goalie. A little later, Haley takes a shot that deflects off of Allen allowing Grace Lemle to score. Kayla Maberry takes a shot that is no good. We win 2nd in the tourney!!!
Marcus vs. Keller I

We started out against a tough wind with Valerie in goal. She made a couple of good saves early on as Keller went on the attack with the wind at their backs. Lauren Carder helped defend off an attempt and then Grace Lemle sends a long ball to Lauren Cleaver for a shot that was denied. Kayla Maberry had a 25 yd attempt go wide. Valerie made 2 more saves in succession to end the half tied 0-0. The 2nd half had Celeste in goal with the wind in our favor. Keller made an attempt that had Celeste making a diving save. Grace Wolfendale made an attempt right at the goalie, Lauren Cleaver had the ball stripped away and Kayla Maberry hit a shot just wide of the far post. Keller scored twice as our defense had a tough time getting numbers back. With 6 minutes left in the game, Allison Rupp tries to score but gets a penalty called on their goalie. Haley Anderson takes the pk and makes it! Unfortunately time ran out and we went to the Consolation Bracket.
Marcus Vs. Southlake Carroll I

It was another windy day at Hebron high school as we came up against a tough SL Carroll JV. Celeste started in goal with the wind at our backs. But the wind did not slow our opponents efforts. Celeste made a great save on a cross into the box, while Morgan Epperson, Dani Pugh and Lauren Carder had to clear the ball several times. Haley Anderson was all over the place clearing and sending penetrating passes to our outside midfield. Sarah Uzsler took the ball to the goal and made an attempt that the goalie stopped with ease. Shannon Lindley had a nice pass down the line that led to an attempt by kathryn Murphy. We got a corner shot sent in by Jordin Farris that had many attempts until it was cleared. But SL Carroll got a corner of their own that led to a save by Celeste. In the second half we went against the wind with Valerie in goal. Sarah Uzsler gets us a corner with an attempt that was deflected wide. There goalie made easy work of it. Valerie made a couple of saves while Wolfendale and Lemle got long balls up to our forwards. Another corner for us leads to an attempt by Haley Anderson followed by Sam Vongphachanh. Valerie makes a couple of stops while Dani Pugh was working hard clearing and slide tackling. Allison Rupp has a great cross and Cleaver almost scores. Kayla Maberry had a good cross and no one was there to attempt. Another corner for us taken by Allison Rupp goes over the box and we had no one at the back post. Taylor Aigner and Megan Mikesell were working hard at the back clearing and getting the ball forward. Regulation time runs out. On to PK's.
Valerie is in goal for us. Southlake started first and their #19 makes it. Jordin Farris goes first for us and attempts straight at the goalie, easy save. Next for Southlake is #13 that makes it. Haley ANderson is second for us and makes it. 1-2 them. #14 for southlake misses. Grace Lemle for us shoots wide and right of the goal. Still 1-2. #17 for Southlake makes it and Kayla Maberry makes it for us. Now its 2-3. Southlake #7 makes it causing them to win.
vs. Sachse

We started with the wind at our backs and had a little trouble controlling the ball even though we held possession most of the half. Haley Anderson, Jordin Farris and Allison Rupp had several attempts, while Shannon Lindley and Mackensie Garber had follow up shots saved by the goalie. In the second half, Sam Vongphachanh and Lauren CLeaver had several attempts just wide and Haley Anderson missed an opportunity by not using her left foot. Lauren Cleaver gave some great crosses and Kayla Maberry put a beautiful corner shot into the box but the shot went wide. We had several questionable offsides calls that also hindered our offense.
vs. Highland Park

In the first half, HP scored after Celeste slipped in the goal box before the attempt. We had a few attempts of our own by Haley Anderson and Jordin Farris early on. Then Highland Park scored on a through ball, but was called offsides. Celeste deflected 2 more attempts and finally we tied it up with a shot in the box by Haley Anderson. Sam Vongphachanh shot just wide on the near post when she had a one on one with the goalie. Towards the end of the half Kayla Maberry sent a great cross that Grace Lamle powered over the goal. The half ended 1-1. In the second half Valerie was in goal and immediately had to make a save. Haley had another attempt wide of the far post, Chlesea Wilson had an attempt off a corner shot. Valerie made several more saves, but then Highland Park scored again. Sam and Kayla make several more attempts, while Shannon Lindley made a great defensive block.
